ECSS Multipactor Tool

The ECSS Multipactor Tool (Copyright ESA/ESTEC) is a software tool based on the European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) document called Multipaction design and test (ECSS-E-ST-20-01C).

The key functionalities of the ECSS Multipactor Tool version 2.0.0 is the evaluation of the Multipactor risk on RF systems in single and multicarrier modes according to the ECSS-E-ST-20-01C recommendations and standards.

The tool replaces version 1.0.0 which was declared obsolete once the new standard was published in 2020.

In the multicarrier scenario, the Pulsed Method or the Sweep Method replace the 20-gap crossing rule. The software is also able to rebuild the Hatch & Williams susceptibility curves from actual SEY test measurements.

The ECSS Multipactor Tool version 2.0.0 is a local, multi-platforms desktop application compatible with Linux, Windows and Mac.

No part of ECSS Multipactor Tool may be copied or reproduced, in whole or in part, in any manner or form on any media, or sold, licensed, distributed or transferred to any person, or used, or adapted, without prior written permission of the European Space Agency.
