In February 2011 a completely software-controlled facility became part of the European high power laboratory. This unique facility delivers ten carriers of 400 watts in Ku-band into a high power OMUX which combines all ten signals with accurate control of the phase and RF power.
The water-cooled system includes dedicated control software capable to set and monitor variables such as frequency, power, phase and modulation scheme. The system is designed for all sorts of multicarrier RF breakdown testing and PIM.
